4 Affordable Fall & Winter Trends from Fashion Week 2022 was contributed by Suzy Walsh.
Let’s get real – We cannot make space in our wardrobe for everything we see on the runways. Some ideas may look great on the ramp but are often unfeasible to try in daily life. The Fall/Winter 2022/2023 collections showcased fascinating ideas that were truly innovative and worth trying. Because you are a diva who loves to keep things chic, we have handpicked a few ideas from Fall 2022/2023 shows that are practical and affordable all at once.
Fall/Winter Fashion Week Trends:
1. Revival of the white tank top
Anyone from the 90s will admit their love for tank tops, and while we have seen supermodels try the idea now and then, the trend is back on the runway. Besides Prada and Loewe, Chloe also toyed with the idea. Apart from being a very comfortable trend, we expect these simple looks to stay in the spotlight for seasons. Team your white tank top with a pair of edgy leather pants, or go for something basic like chinos. You can click here to view similar styles.
2. Fun with jackets
SCHIAPARELLI (1), Versace (2), Viktor & Rolf (3), Etro (4), Christian Cowan (5)
The classic jacket is a fashion favorite right now, and many shows toyed with the idea differently. From the basic bomber to blazer-inspired designs, this trend invokes retro feels. Find a silhouette that works best, and instead of tan or other leather options, go for black as an all-season practical pick. The faux options are just as good if you are not a fan of real leather.
3. Knitwear on knitwear
Louis Vuitton (all)
From bright shades to stripes, knitwear is here to stay. Pick a pop-color cardigan or sweater or go for something fun like a sweater dress – there’s something for everyone. Knitwear for fall 2022 had a lot of statement elements, and if you want some inspiration from the brands, check the shows of Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Molly Goddard. Because knitwear is a practical addition to any closet, you can expect the trend to return.
4. Splashes of color
Valentino (1), Versace (2 and 3), Dur Doux (4)
People usually link fall fashion to a particular color palette, but that is certainly not the case this year. Designers have used many shades, from Barbie pink to bright greens, charismatic blues, and royal reds. From suits that featured a mini skirt in shades of magenta and purple to tangerine tops, there is so much to love. This could be a great idea for the season if you are a fan of adding colorful items to spice up fall looks. Complete your outfit with an XL tote, which is another hot favorite for the season.
