10 Stylish Packing Essentials For Your Next Trip!

Hello, lovely readers!

When packing for an exciting vacation, a lot needs to be considered. Are the shoes good for walking long distances? Will I have sun protection? And will my purse feel heavy with the number of items I need to carry? These questions are important in deciding whether your trip will be amazing or end with you weeping over your cute yet uncomfortable 6-inch heels. Since I have been in that exact situation, I have found that you can be fashionable but have the comfort of gliding through a well-deserved vacay. That’s why I created a list of packing essentials to do just that!

Packing Essentials:

1. Travel Bag

Number one on the list is a roomy suitcase for all of your OOTDs and the souvenirs you’re sure to buy. I always try to find suitcases with lots of pockets and hidden compartments where I can store my curling iron and laptop without them being damaged. This suitcase from Ted Baker has the important details you need while also turning heads as you walk to your rental.

2. Comfortable Shoes

The second thing you will need on your trip is a pair of comfortable shoes with a kick of style. I stick with my Nikes or Keds, but the fashionista inside me wants to wear cute heels, so I’ve picked out these pastel blue wedges. A wedge will give you more stability than a regular heel or stiletto because it is wider and covers the whole shoe. The mini-platform and low heel height will also positively impact your overall comfort.

3. Light Purse

A light bag with a substantial amount of space for your sunscreen, sunglasses, phone, and wallet will serve you well over the days spent awing and oo-ing at the amazing sights around the city. I hate carrying around a heavy purse while I’m out all day. That’s why I chose this straw purse with ample space for whatever you need to carry!

4. Miniature Toiletries

You’re going to need products to keep yourself groomed, and a hotel’s free toiletries can be drying to skin and hair, so why not bring your own? I like to take a couple of miniatures of my favorite cleansers and a small container of my moisturizer. This way, I can keep up my routine and prevent travel-induced breakouts.

5. Sunscreen

Adding to number four, sunscreen is a must-have in your travel bag. Sun protection is the main ingredient in determining whether your photos will stay hidden in your phone or be posted on social media. A bad sunburn after a fun day at the beach can be a terrible end to an otherwise fun day. It’s best to use sunscreen anytime you’re in the sun and behind windows, because it prevents painful sunburns and aging. Don’t forget to reapply!

6. Sun Hat

Wearing a sun hat is an added layer of protection against sunburns and makes for a cute picture. My favorite style is floppy because it makes me feel like a movie star, but any style will do.

7. Protective Phone Case

A protective phone case is required to prevent the much-dreaded mishap of a shattered phone screen. This will prevent any risk and make taking those vacation selfies much more fun! My favorite phone case is the Otter + Pop Symmetry Phone Case by Otterbox because it has a PopSocket built-in.

8. Sunglasses

Not only are sunglasses stylish, but they also serve a very important purpose – to protect your eyes from the sun. So cover up those baby blues!

9. Cardigan

I always pack a cardigan in my carry-on bag because of the cold air on the plane. Also, I love how cozy it makes me feel as I sleep. This is definitely a must-have if traveling by air.

10. Going-Out Outfit

Now on to the fun part – a cute outfit for a nice dinner or a night exploring the town! This could include anything, from a flashy dress to a stylish pair of heels. The choice is yours!

Well, there you have it! There are many more essentials needed for an Insta-ready vacation, but these are the ones that I always stick by no matter what. I hope you enjoyed my post and will consider these packing essentials for your next trip!

I always take one pair of long trausers and comfortable shoes to explore the surroundings. It is not important to take a whole closet with us but we should think of comfortability first.
