When in New York City…

Hi, fashionistas!

This week I returned from my fantastic trip to New York City! After a 10 year wait (literally!), it was even better than I had imagined! The sights were beautiful and the shops were, obviously, fabulous! To put it simply, you must go to NYC! No wonder it’s one of the fashion capitals of the world!

While I was visiting the city, I stayed with my dad at the Omni Berkshire Hotel in Midtown, right on 5th avenue! Perfect location, right? We went to all the designer and vintage shops we could find! The best part was that all of the summer sales were happening! I had no idea when we were planning our trip! The deals were to-die-for!

I went to all the shops that we don’t have in Texas, because, when you’re in NYC, why shop at chains? The unique places are the destinations to hit!

Sight-seeing wise, we hopped onto the Staten Island Ferry and witnessed one of the most breathtaking views I have ever seen! We were so close to the Statue of Liberty that we could almost touch her! We went with family, so that made it that much cooler! I took a picture of the New York City skyline while on the ferry.

Here are the pictures I took of the Statue of Liberty and I on the ferry:

We went to Times Square, and it blew me away! All the screens and images were so captivating and vibrant! I couldn’t believe I was really there!

We ate in Little Italy and at Rockefeller Plaza, which I highly recommend! Also, I had the best chai latte I had ever drunk in Soho at Ground Support. The great food was just the icing on the cake of NYC!

You know how macaroons are amazing? Well, I had the best macaroons in the world (said by a local and my opinion) at Ladurée! The first time I went (yes, I went a second time), I asked one of the employees about what the best flavors are, and she recommended the “floral” flavors. I had no idea what she meant by it tasting floral, but I wanted to find out, so I ordered the Rose Petal and Lily of the Valley. Let’s just say, I now know what it means for a flavor to taste floral, and they were my favorite!  As an added bonus, their packaging was so cute!

Some of the stores I loved were TopshopHenri Bendel, and Kate Spade Saturday! Those were the stores I bought items from. Not to brag, but I bought a purse charm in the shape of the letter ‘L’ at Henri Bendel, a flower crown, phone case, and scrunchy at Topshop, and a satchel at Kate Spade Saturday! These items were the ones that really caught my eye, were a great deal, and fit my budget! I can’t wait to wear them everywhere!

Well, that was everything I did on my trip to New York City! I’m so happy that I could share my experiences with you! I hope you get to visit NYC and capture its beauty! I love my lovely readers!

xx,

Lauren
