How my blog got started:
When I read my first Teen Vogue magazine edition in 2009, I immediately loved all things fashion and beauty. As I read different fashion magazines, I realized I found my passion. I was only 13 at the time, and my journey was just beginning. After reading more on the internet, I knew that I needed to share my ideas with the world. Then, I read the article that changed my life forever. It was about how to start a blog. After that, I chose my hosting provider, and the journey began!
Two pieces of advice for bloggers:
Oh man, this is a hard one. Since I’ve been blogging for nearly a decade, I have a lot of tips to give from my experiences, but if I had to choose just a couple, the first would be to not put too much pressure on yourself to succeed right away.
For the first few years my blog was just a hobby, but, after an advertising agency contacted me for the first time, I knew that turning my hobby into a business was my next step. For years, I would be way too hard on myself if I made a spelling mistake or if my traffic wasn’t picking up like I wanted it to. I eventually realized that these things and much more will happen and all I could do was try my best and not put myself down. That changed not only my blogging career but my life in general.
The second piece of advice I would give to bloggers is to create the content that you want to create, not just what everyone else is posting or what will go viral. I know that there is a lot of pressure right now to make all of our posts go viral, but in some cases, it’s better to publish what you truly want to post and the views will follow. Including some of these posts with your other viral posts will create a sense of personality and dimension within your content and will give your readers a better understanding of who you are not only as a blogger but also as a person. Learning this also took a long time, but I was better for it.
I highly recommend that you check out each of their blogs! They’re some of my absolute favorites! Also, these blogs aren’t in any particular order.
